Laura Blumenthal talked to the Secretary of State for Defence, Rt Hon. Grant Shapps MP, about the British army exploring how they can deliver 2 million meals a day to Gaza using the USA's pier. Aid to Gaza has been raised with Laura by people living in the Brentford and Isleworth constituency, so she welcomed this ambition.
She also supported the news that the UK will increase its defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2030 and is encouraging other NATO countries to do the same. A global community investing in defence and aid will lead to a more secure world.
