With the resignation of a former Labour councillor for Brentford West ward, there will now be a by-election on 2nd May.
Laura Blumenthal is supporting Mike Denniss to step up to Hounslow Borough Council. She says:
Mike lives in Brentford and has high standards for the area. He will work to preserve Brentford's sense of community and services, as well as working towards a safer and greener area. Mike wants more accessible housing and most importantly be an opposition to Labour, so things can't be forced on Brentford without someone standing up for the town.
Mike Denniss used to be a councillor on Hounslow Borough Council and has been a constant in his support for the Save Our Watermans campaign. He worked with Laura to contact the Labour Group requesting that the arts centre not be closed and local people be given the chance to commercialise the Watermans to keep it alive.
