Laura Blumenthal heard from Osterley and Wyke Green Residents Association (OWGRA) at their AGM. She was disappointed that St Edward, the developers of the planned 2000+ homes on the Homebase and Tesco sites on Syon Lane, had not informed OWGRA of the latest timetable and details. This was despite Laura getting in touch with St Edward the previous month and its public affairs department telling her they had fully informed OWGRA and local councillors of the latest plans.
Laura said:
The meeting was constructive but there was a great sense from attendees that they weren't being listened to, either by Hounslow Borough Council or local developers. Poor communication or no communication was the theme. I'll be going back to St Edward to get to the bottom of it. They are starting up a Community Engagement Group, rather than resting the work on OWGRA to communicate with residents. No news on this Group yet...
